A presentation of the art collection “Confessions Should Be Better Planned” by Alena Martsyanava.

On the 23rd of May, a cozy place SANTE in Prague is welcoming the audience for a special event:

A presentation of the art collection “Confessions Should Be Better Planned” by Alena Martsyanava.

The concept: buy art and help people.

Alena Martsyanava is an indie artist from Eastern Europe, whose life has been closely associated with a lot of traumatic experiences which she poured onto canvas.

She was raised in a family where special needs people shaped her life and world outlook.

The unbearable pain and a burning desire to be ‘normal’ were ruined by such diseases of her closest relatives as schizophrenia and cerebral palsy.

She has struggled to help her brother as well as his disabled son over the years, as well as many other special needs people in institutions. Abandoned, lonely, unwanted. She keeps making a difference for them, showing the world around what’s happening and what can be done.

Alena created a series exploring the raw and unfiltered nature of expression. Hidden truths revealed, dreams concealed behind masks, and words left unspoken. Misinterpreted desires and emotions too intense to keep hidden, all reflecting the complexity of communication. Misunderstandings, breakdowns, and false perceptions are central themes, offering a bold invitation for limitless personal interpretation. This collection embraces the chaos of self-expression and the freedom it brings.

All the artworks in this collection are for sale, and she is planning to forward ⅓ of the money made from the sales of her artworks to support children in institutions in Eastern Europe under the Burren Chernobyl Project (burrenchernobyl.ie)
